Hazel Imogene Beggs was born 94 years ago east of Norman. Being born in 1923, she had the adventure of living through many histories most notable events, i.e. The Great Depression, The Dust Bowl and World War II. Hazel married Fonie Beggs. Shortly after they were married, Fonie joined the military. This set the stage for Hazel to experience many of life's joys. Fonie's military career took them nearly all over the United States. Eventually the two started a family. Hazel and Fonie had two beautiful children named DeWayne and Bonita. Hazel had a passion for the Lord, family, music and gardening. Literally, there was nothing this strong woman could not achieve. She instilled great values and strong moral ethics in her family. Soon enough Hazel became a grandmother.
