Gene Harrison White, 75, of Norman passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, July 29 with his wife and family at his side. He was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, and grew up in Cheyenne, OK. He graduated from Guthrie High School in 1961. Gene married the love of his life, Marinell, on September 30, 1972. He is survived by his wife, Marinell, a sister Glenna Premer of Lawrence, Kansas, two sons, Randy White (wife Paula) of Yukon and Dawayne White (wife Mary) of Moore, two step daughters, Ava Wilhelm (husband Terry) of Moore and Donna Robison (husband Joel) of Edmond, and a stepson, Mark Tabb (wife Valerie) of Greenfield, Indiana, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruth, and brothers Clarence Richard and Gary. A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Hilltop Baptist Church, 11710 E. Stella Road, Norman, OK 73026. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hilltop church youth ministries. Arrangements are under the direction of John M. Ireland and Son Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
