Dr. Jonathan Randolph "Randy"'s Story
Dr. Jonathan Randolph Randy White departed this life on December 31, 2017. He was born July 14, 1955 to Irvin Jack White and Patricia Hathaway White in Pensacola, FL. He graduated from Norman High School in 1972, then attended OU, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with high honors in Mathematics in 1976. He then went on to the OU College of Dentistry, and upon graduation he established his own practice in Norman. Dr. White began teaching at the OU Dental School in 1989, leading him on a teaching path that became his true calling.
Dr. White was preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, Donna Hewitt, and his mother Patricia Hathaway White.
Survivors include: father Irvin Jack White and stepmother Mary Hamilton of Omaha, NE; son Jonathan White and partner Anna Mantooth of Oklahoma City; daughter Allison Carter and husband Steven of Norman; son Joseph Wharton and wife Danielle Applestone of Berkeley, CA; son Robert Wharton and wife Whitney Albright of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren Henry, Monroe, and Brooks Carter and Rhett Applestone; brother David White and wife Diane of Tulsa; and nieces Bailey Fryer and Jameson White.
Randy's family has entrusted his care to Tribute Memorial Care in Norman (405.292.4787). A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church in Norman (555 S. University Blvd).
