Dorothy Delois Taylor was born July 29, 1925 in Bradley, Oklahoma to Iven and Lavada (Jones) Hicks. She passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 91.
She married Jim Claud Taylor on November 9, 1943 and was a devoted wife and homemaker until his death in June 1990. They raised two sons in Oklahoma City, Eugene Lee Taylor and James Donald Taylor, who also preceded her in death. She spent over twenty years in Noble, Oklahoma living at the Noble Senior Village where she enjoyed watching high school baseball games and activities with her many friends.
She was a skilled seamstress and artistically creative but always very humble regarding her talents. She was a life long Baptist and very devoted in her faith.
DeLois is survived by two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, one great-great-granddaughter, and a few good friends. Her service will be held at the Bradley Cemetery in Bradley, Oklahoma on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. with a viewing at Sevier Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma all day Sunday, April 23rd.
