Deborah's Story

Deborah Kay Kelson, 68, of Norman passed away Saturday July 8, 2017 at her home. She was born January 27, 1949 to Virgil Lyle and June Kathryn Gordon Baker. On July 22, 1978 in Norman she married Robert Kelson. Deborah was a High School Spanish teacher. She enjoyed traveling with her husband for his work. They spent a combined 11 years in Italy and a few in the Philippines. She was fluent in both Spanish and Italian. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church since 2001. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of almost 39 years Robert of Norman; brother: David and his wife Wendy Baker of Lincoln, Arkansas; brother in law: John and his wife Karilyn Kelson of Tulsa as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. The wake service will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday July 16, 2017at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel. The Memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday July 17, 2017 at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Norman, OK. Inurnment will be at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery.
