Clyde Shatley Jr. was born to Clyde Shatley Sr. and Helen Louise (Hartline) Shatley on June 26, 1945 at Highland Park, Ill. He departed this life due to an extended illness on November 14th at the Norman Regional Hospital at the age of 72 years.
Clyde moved to Norman, Ok. with his family when he was in the 2nd grade. Later he moved with his family to Noble on 48th St. and Post Oak Road which later became known as the homeplace. He graduated from Noble High School in 1963. On March 18, 1965 he enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard of Oklahoma. He served his Country for 6 years before receiving an Honorable Discharge on March 17, 1971 as a Specialist Five Sr. Mechanic.
On January 6, 1968 Clyde married the love of his life Mary Ann Lanier in Norman, Ok. Their home was in Norman their entire marriage of 49 years before Mary's passing. Clyde was employed with the OEC Coop as a District Lineman until his retirement. He was Mary's caretaker during her illness before her death even though he was also ill while not letting anyone know.
He was raised in the country on the farm loving the outdoors and was an avid fishing and deer hunter. He even squirrel and rabbit hunted if he had the chance. He loved fishing out of his bass boat which he will be carried in to the Cemetery.
Clyde was preceded in death by his Parents and Wife Mary. Those who survive him include 2 Sons; Robert Shatley (Nicole) of Norman and Walter Shatley (Samantha) of Omaha, Nebraska, 2 Daughters; Kathy Shatley and Jenny Shatley Paul (John II) all of Norman, 1 Sister Shirley Burnett of Noble, 2 Brothers: Ted Shatley (Sherry) and Mike Shatley of Noble, 6 Grandchildren, 1 great Grandchild with another Grandchild and Great Grandchild on the way, numerous other relatives and friends.

INTERMENT: Noble IOOF Cemetery with U.S. ARMY MILITARY HONORS
VISITATION HOURS: Sunday, November 19th from 1:00pm-7:00pm
