Carol Ann's Story
Carol Ann Collett was born to Melvin Snyder Sr. and Eva (Fear) Snyder on March 10, 1958 at San Jose, Ca. She departed this life on January 16th at her home east of Noble with her family by her side at the age of 59 years.
Carol moved to Oklahoma with her family as a young girl in 1962. She graduated from Norman High School in 1978. She attended the University of Oklahoma, OCCC, OCU and received a Bachelor of Science Degree on May 7, 2011. Carol remained a full time employee for the State of Oklahoma while attending College in many different departments and positions. At the time of her death she was the Administrative Assistant for the Oklahoma Corporation Commimmission Oil & Gas Conservation Division. Carol was loved by all of her co-workers, her big smile, always happy and eager to help anyone.
On June 12, 1976 she married the love of her life Mr. Stan Collett at Norman, Ok. Their marriage was for 41 years. They made their home east of Noble for the last 30 years moving from Norman. Carol's family always came first. She and Stan raised 3 boys and attended each and every sporting or school activity possible. Carol related that also with her Grandchildren. She never wanted to miss an activity of any of her Grandchildren. She was a wonderful and loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Each child held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Twin Sons; Willie Michael and Joey Daniel in 1970 and Twin Sisters in 1950. Those who survive her include her husband Stan of the home, her 3 Sons; Jasen (Katie) of Noble, Ryan (Jennifer) of Wayne and Kevin (Johnna) of Ok. City, Grandchildren; Jonathan, Allyson, Eva Mae, Betty Rae, Scarlette, Baylee, Logan and Jacob, 2 Brothers; Melvin Leroy Snyder Jr. of Texas and James Snyder of Oregan, 2 Sisters; Vickie Teel-Doswell (Chuck) of Norman and Betty Victoria of PA., many other relatives, co-workers and dear friends who will miss her dearly. A public viewing will not be held for Carol.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:00pm Saturday, January 20th, McMahans Funeral Chapel
INTERMENT: Noble IOOF Cemetery
