Brent Thomas Gabert

Brent Thomas Gabert of Norman passed on May 5, 2019 at the age of 50. Born in Madison, Wisconsin on November 8, 1968, he was the son of Trent and Salva Gabert.

Brent moved with his family to Norman, Oklahoma in 1970, where he attended Norman Public Schools before moving on to the University of Oklahoma. After graduation Brent held several positions before landing in Las Vegas, Nevada. He returned to Norman in 2015 to work in landscaping, a field of work that he deeply loved.

He was known for his approachability, friendliness, and helpful nature.

Brent is survived by his three children: Caroline, Lucille, and Douglas of Las Vegas; his parents; brother Lance, his wife Liz, and their children Sarah, Matthew, and Johnathan of Bedford, New Hampshire; sister Michele Stockwell, her husband David, and their children Thomas and Charlie of Washington, D.C.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 11th at St. Thomas More University Parish with Fr. James A. Goins officiating (100 Stinson St, Norman). Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery (1913 N Porter Ave, Norman).
