Billy B. Chapman of Norman was born on September 4, 1932 to Fred B. Chapman and Edna (Bowen) Wrotenbury in Tuttle, Oklahoma. He passed at the age of 85 on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
Billy was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and riding his 4-Wheeler to check on his cows. Billy was an excellent marksman and competed with his shotgun and pistols, and he delighted in reloading his own ammunition. He loved to water ski and scuba dive in his earlier years. Billy was a special reserve deputy for the Cleveland County Sheriffs' Department. He loved Blue Grass Music and was known for being a good storyteller.
Billy's family has entrusted his care to Tribute Memorial Care in Norman (708 24th Ave NW, 405.292.4787). The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 17th from 2:00-4:00 pm. A celebration of Billy's life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church (1777 E. Robinson, Norman) on Monday, September 18th at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Norman.
