Anna M. Linn, Norman, Oklahoma, passed away February 25, 2018 at Norman Regional Health System after a sudden illness. She was born September 27, 1930, to Ellis and Susie Smith in Lexington, Oklahoma.
She retired from the University of Oklahoma. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and taught children and played piano for Sunday School for many years at Trinity Baptist Church. She loved cooking and hosting get-togethers for family and friends and especially loved traveling to Kentucky to visit her family including her son and his wife, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Forrest Sloan, husband Bill Linn, sisters Alice Weaver, Innes Weaver, and Ella Weaver, and grandson Darren Sloan. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Sloan (Sharon) of Versailles, Kentucky, daughter Diana Sloan of Norman, Oklahoma, granddaughters Rebecca Sloan Valentine (Darren) and Emily Sloan Johnson (Brandin), eight great-grandchildren, sister Grace Puckett, all of Versailles, Kentucky, cousin Eunice Clark of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N. Porter Avenue, Norman, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery, Norman, Oklahoma.
