Anna Lou Finnell, 81, died December 8, 2017 in Norman. Services will be at Westside Church of Christ with Phillip Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Primrose Funeral Service is handling arrangements.??
Mrs. Finnell was born July 22, 1936 to Harold Mauldin and Bessie Sieg Mauldin-Day in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Noble High School in 1954 and attended the University of Oklahoma 1955-1956. She worked for Head Football Coach Bud Wilkinson as the Office Secretary from 1958-1960. She then married the love of her life, Jack Finnell, on November 9, 1956, in Noble.??
She was a stay at home wife/mother before going to work with her husband as a warranty clerk at Reynolds Ford for many years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ since 1965 and was appreciated by many for the love she gave to the many children she taught in the church's baby class and for the birthdays she remembered by sending birthday cards year after year.??
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Finnell, brother Clifford Mauldin, her parents and grandparents. Mrs. Finnell is survived by her daughter, Kristie Dowdy, and her husband Bob; a son, Butch Finnell and his wife, Debbie; three grandchildren, Corey Dowdy, Tyler Finnell and Blake Finnell, his wife Kyndall and 1 great-grandchild, Evie Rose, and her 2 loving sisters, Linda Day and Kathy Wright, plus many loving family members and friends.??
Bearers will be Corey Dowdy, Tyler Finnell, Blake Finnell, Cody Ashmore, Jacob Mauldin and Joel Regnier. Honorary bearers will be Bob Tucker, Don Hays and Ken Lowery.??
